I've seen quite a few of his paintings in museums, and they generally delight me. On the lower faceoff, I'll take Kline's bold over Klein's blue. mrs.5000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10779294.post-89875497179637399942014-10-02T12:18:59.614-07:002014-10-02T12:18:59.614-07:00Bonnard and Kline.Bonnard and Kline.Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06415787787176723318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10779294.post-52542364909879433682014-10-02T08:11:31.273-07:002014-10-02T08:11:31.273-07:00You know, last round I really got on my high horse...You know, last round I really got on my high horse about my dislike for Klein. Which is a little ridiculous when I think some of the other artists I've casted votes for. I'm not sure why, but something about him copyrighting his type of blue really rubbed me the wrong way. But this time I'm going to try to have more of an open mind and I hate to admit it… But that blue is pretty damn soothing. He might be the definition of a one-trick pony, but I think I prefer him slightly to Kline's sloppy calligraphy.

On the top I thought I'd go Kitaj. But as I perused a bunch of Bonnard's, I suddenly I got this eerie feeling like they were life slowly turning into blots of colors. Kind of like backwards painting. Totally trippy dude! Perhaps he shouldn't get credit for this, but he'll get my vote over the interesting but kind of crowded pictures by Kitaj.Chuckdaddynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10779294.post-38640809779046553742014-10-02T07:18:29.844-07:002014-10-02T07:18:29.844-07:00Kitaj on top, and Klein on the bottom.
