Emphatically Bosch!

Wow, totally unfair matchup, to me at least, in that they're both such strong contenders. I think I am going to go with the more soothing linearity of Boltanski here. Also he's French.

Ok - I like Bosch, but this is the first more modern artist that has really struck me, so I'm going with Boltanski.

Aw man, I really like both of them. I'll vote Boltanski, though.

I will not only vote for Bosch but will name my next child Hieronymus in his honor.

Somehow misread the title and thought it said IAT Round 2 goes to the beach. Really need to stop trying to read my blog roll on my phone while doing other things. I vote for Boltanski. 1. Beacause I like squares. 2. Beacause I like the name. If your keeping track this is the first time I have voted, yes I am a little last to the party.

Well, just to pile on, another for Bosch.

Mrs.5000 and I went to a art history lecture on Garden of Earthly Delights last year the gist of which is that "it's hard to like a painting that doesn't like you." I have however never had any such trouble. I'm not as gaga for Bosch as I once was, but he would still easily make my Top 40.

Here is an additional vote-by-email for Mr. Bosch.

This is a tough one … Boltanski.

Boltanski is so great

Art History titan Bosch survives a brisk contest with upstart Boltanski, but emerges on top 8-7. That closes voting in this matchup.
