You May Never Learn What I Think of Tellurium

It's the tenth anniversary of Infinite Art Tournament (formerly L&TM5K)!!!

...which, in blog years, is like living to 580.  ...well, maybe not quite.  It's like dog years: keeping a blog for four months gets you to ripe middle age, after which you are pretty much aging in real time.  Perhaps.  Really, I'm just making this up.

Anyway, I thought I might celebrate the tenth anniversary by... stopping.  Everything except for the Tournament itself, of course.  We'll keep working the Tournament.  But the other features that have so singularly failed to go viral -- the saints! the elements! the movie reviews! the quizzes!  the boring postcards! -- well, I think maybe it's time to declare total victory and move on.  And with that comes my deepest gratitude to anyone who has to any extent followed any of this stuff over the years.

Unless I change my mind, of course.  See ya tomorrow for more Left Bracket Round Two action!

Hey, if that's what you want! I'll, of course, be keeping the blog in my feed reader just in case.

Congrats on 10 years, you venerable old man!

I've had a lot of fun over the years following along. You've even, and I never thought I'd say this, taught me something about art...Just a little bit, but still.

I'll continue to hold out hope that you won't be able to help yourself, but if not, well, it's been a blast.

Just bring back Michael Reads the Bible, ok?

OK, I'm rather sad, as predicted. You'll be happy that the backyard dracunculus is in full, stinky splendor today. Dracunculi, really--they all seem to be going off at once in your honor--but "dracunculus" would be the proper search term for anyone wanting to celebrate by rolling around in the blog archives. Long live the Infinite Art Tournament.

Boo! I like saints! I like quizzes!! I like the what-does-it-look-like-now postcards! And I keep waiting for the resumption of the Beatles album reviews! And there's a whole bunch of Bible left. Flags will be at half-mast tomorrow.... A shame there won't be anybody to rank their aesthetics.....

Actually the boring postcards were the best bit. (After reading about Michael giving up soda & learning to like tomatoes.)

I'm also still waiting for a batch of pumpkin cookies.

Are you still quilting? That was pretty cool too.

(Admittedly, I preferred the quizzes when the answers were in the comments, not a different post.)
