I saw some great Archipenko in Los Angeles this winter.

But, I am more and more impressed with Antonella da Messina. I admire how he mines additional planar and perspectival information for distance work, yet he also excels in capturing human features, which he starts off up in close proximity to.

You know, I also prefer Messina, but just slightly and not nearly by the amount this current rout indicates most people do. But still, Messina.

I agree with everyone else! Messina. And also that I do like Archipenko despite his being trounced here.
