Now to the world of sport, where we have an exciting development today in the 2005 college football season. I quote from the L.A. Times:

A come-from-behind win over Oregon in the Holiday Bowl? Never happened.
Yes, that's right! In an unusual come-from-behind-twenty-months-later nailbiter, the Ducks have WON THE 2005 HOLIDAY BOWL!!!
This is my second favorite dodgy victory over Oklahoma in recent memory!

I can't help but notice the Disney copyright at the bottom and yes come to think of it that duck does look familiar. Does U of O have some kind of licensing thing happening? Congratulations and enjoy the gloating!
Go Ducks! I have no clue about sports (shocking)...but loved The Mighty Ducks movie!
Now clearly Oregon should've been in a better bowl that year.
@Dug: Ah, the story of my alma mater's occasional use of a licenced Disney character as a mascot, and the legal discussions pertaining thereto, is a long and convoluted story. And a terminally boring one.
@Jenny!: Well, I have no clue about the Mighty Ducks movie... but every fall, for some reason, I seem to love the Ducks.
@Chuck: After our trip to Eugene last year, I'm just grateful that Oregon is still playing in Division I.
