Indigestion and Nightmare!

[whoops, two days' posts in one.  Fill up now, it could be a long Tuesday...]

Hey, L&TM5K reader and perennial Devourer of Quizzes la gringissima sent me two of her handmade postcards over the last few months.  And I bring this up not only in an attempt to establish as normative that sending gifts to the author is an intrinsic part of the L&TM5K experience -- although most readers do feel it rounds out their enjoyment of this little online digest beautifully -- but because the cards themselves are not a little awesome.

To clarify, these were sent as postcards -- a message and address is written on the fabric backing, and a stamp is stuck to it, and voila!   !Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds!

La gringisima has, or at least had, an online shop at some point -- I bought a Valentine for Mrs.5000 there, in fact.  In fact, I wouldn't be at all surprised if she provides a link in the comments!  But I'm just guessing.

Aw, shucks...

I shut down the ole Etsy page, but thanks for the free advertising!

Cool! Those are definitely not boring postcards.

I'm surprised they made it through the Postal Circus. I once had cards returned because they were "too rigid"—made of bookboard (but it came at a time when USPS managed to deliver an AOL spam CD to me in metal packaging every other week .... no, I'm not bitter).

Maybe USPS mail standards just lean to the softer side?

But yes, these are awesome. Glad they made it to you, and the blog.

Jeez, I'm coming very late to this post, but these are awesome. I can't believe there are so few comments. I can only believe that people are still struck dumb with jealousy and awe and/or have been since seeing them frantically trying to figure out how to get their hands on one of their own (currying favor, maybe?). What a talent!
