Your Thursday Boring Postcard from Michael5000

FIELD HOUSE AND VISITORS CENTER -- DINOSAUR NATIONAL MONUMENT
Located in Utah a short drive from Dinosaur, Colorado.  Here you may see park service personnel actually excavating dinosaur remains.

It may be a boring postcard (and sad... no visitors at all that day?), but it's very interesting architecture.

Couldn't they have parked a few beaters in the lot? The building looks a lot like an oven....

My vote: NOT boring. I've been there--it's really cool! The reason it looks like the building is built into a hillside is that there are dinosaur fossils in that hillside that you view from inside the Visitors Center.

I really like the fact that the photo wasn't retouched before being printed as a postcard. Somebody could've Photoshopped out the trashcans and the oil stains on the pavement (assuming the postcard's from the Photoshop era), but I like it better this way.

That looks and sounds familiar, but I don't think I've been there. Is there another equally boring dinosaur centre somewhere?

Oh, I sent it. That would be why it looks familiar!
