Greetings from Yellowstone!
The Avatar thought it would have been featured on more stamps.
Last Sunday, a few minutes before entering the state of Wyoming...
...my running Avatar jogged past the entry gate into Yellowstone Park, but didn't have to pay, what with being incorporeal!
The next day, he passed the place where I scared myself silly on a geohashing expedition last August. I'll tell you a story about that someday. In the meantime, the Avatar is now further from home than I've ever gone on any round-trip, no-destination road trip. I suppose that's cutting things a bit fine, but it's a meaningful distinction to me.
For some reason, I thought there were going to be as many as a dozen Yellowstone National Park postage stamps to clutter this post with. But except for a recent $17.50 stamp, which hardly counts, these are pretty much it.
