The Wednesday Post

The Avatar in Atwood, Kansas
where fishing, picnicking, and boating are enjoyed

Since we checked in with the Avatar on New Year's Eve, he's run about 120 miles.  That's pretty pathetic by his standards, but there was some back pain and the traditional February cold and some general trouble getting into the groove.  But at has at least made it to Atwood, Kansas, the seat of Rawlins County.

Just for the record: most of these Wednesday Post postcard festivals are from my own extensive collection of other people's mail.  When the Avatar passes through town, on the other hand, he just straight up finds postcard images on the internet.  That's easier for him then poking around the local shops, because he's intangible.

Mon. eve. 6/29/59

Hi Mom & Pop.  We are at Lake Atwood, Kansas and intend to be in Denver tomorrow noon.  It is cool.  I had my coat on all afternoon.  They tell us there is snow a head of us.  You get to see a lot.  I just wish we had some of the white heads at home that I got to see.  Hope you are all O.K.  Will write later.
