Left Bracket Round Four: Manet v. Metsu!





"Semifinals" designates the Fourth to Seventh Rounds of the Infinite Art Tournament.  This is a Left Bracket Fourth Round Match between Édouard Manet (4-1, 43-22, .662) and Gabriel Metsu (3-1-1, 37-27, .578). Leaving the Tournament after falling to Manet is Franz Marc (3-2-1, 43-30, .589).

The first Manet is my favorite of all of them (is that impressionism becoming post-impressionism?), but, overall, I like Metsu better.

I keep warming up to Manet... but I do like Metsu quite... but I guess this is what the late Tournament is just like... so let's say MANET for me.

Metsu takes six votes, which would have been enough to win many of the less popular matches in this tournament. Not this one, though. Manet takes a big 11 votes, and will move on to a contest against Haeckel later this week.
