AMSTERDAM / HOLLAND
Where old "Montelbaanstower" keeps silent watch over St. Anthony sluices

Airport 8/6/68 Dear Daddy, Arrived home safely after very fine trip. I came up to Amsterdam yesterday by train by myself. We went straight back to Jean's home from London and did not come to Holland from there as was planned at first.

Very fine trip and visit but good to be home. Love, Margaret.

That was my great-grandmother's, apparently.

I'm liking the addition of the middle initial.

Wow, the same guy that did this postcard 'color enhancement' must have later worked for Ted Turner on colorizing movies....

Wait--that was sent by your GREAT-grandmother, Morgan F. Shirley?

How strange to see my grandma's handwriting--I recognized it immediately. I had no idea she called her father "Daddy"--I never met the man even though I was born at the time that she wrote this card (he WAS a continent away...).
