The Thursday Quiz IIC

The Thursday Quiz!

The Thursday Quiz is a twelve item is-it-or-isn't-it test of your knowledge, reasoning, stamina, and moxie!

Remember always the Fundamental Rules of the Thursday Quiz:

1. The Thursday Quiz is a POP quiz. No research, Googling, Wikiing, or use of reference books. Violators will never be able to look at themselves in the mirror again.

2. Don't get all stressed out about it! It's supposed to be fun!

Unimaginably Vast Asian Cities!

You'll be happy to know that The Google comes up with LATofM5K as the first option if you Google #8 (which I did after I sent my answers in to see if I was right about the ones I wasn't sure of). In all likelihood, you'll probably make an appearance in some poor college freshman's cobbled-together-at-the-last-minute term paper about the Country Formerly Known as Burma.

8. Myanming, Burma -- NO. Made it up, deviously taking advantage of your mild confusion over "Myanmar," the alternative name for Burma.

9. Riga, Bangladesh -- NO. Riga is the capital of Esto... psych! It's the capital of Latvia.

10. Surabaya, Indonesia -- YES.

11. Wuhan, China -- YES.
