Agasse. Giraffes!

I still have a weakness for the big kitties, plus in the new painting, I see he managed to fit in chickens. So obviously, Agasse.

Ah, I see we're not going to have to have an infinite Round 1 before we get to Round 2. Well, that's jolly! And though Algardi was clearly a very talented sculptor, I'll vote for Agasse for welcoming animals into the art. Go Ferocious Kingdom!

Anything with animals gets my vote! Agasse!!!

I was going to go with Agasse, but after looking at many the other works by both artists, I'll have to go with Algardi. His sculpture is just so dynamic, detailed and full of ethos. This isn't the best representative sample, except for the first. Sorry Awesome Cats.

Algardi

The sculpture just shows so much more...skill, mastery, personality.

Sorry, dear Giraffe.

Agasse, but because of the domestic transportation and village painting, not because of the exotic animals. There's a painted sign, coaches, a bucket for the horses, a well-graded road, a wagon in the background with odd wheels, the guy reading the newspaper, and the woman holding the coach reins. The details are amazing, even if I don't always know what they signify!

Algardi. Agasse was winning "Giraffe" over "Bearded Man That I Probably Should Be Able To Identify", but with the addition of the 3rd works displayed, "Country Village" vs. "Awesome Robed Dude", Algardi comes out the clear victor.

Agasse for the Cheetah!

I'm going for Algardi, largely because I know what kind of genre paintings lurk behind the animal pictures that Agasse is remembered for. Personally, I don't feel like the front four make for a terribly strong bracket, but then I'm weak in the sculpture department.

In the personal tourney, it's Albers over Algardi.
