Michael5000's Running Avatar is running eastward across central Wyoming, heading towards Casper.
July 19 -- After two months, the Avatar finally crosses another county line. Now he's in Natrona County, another huge one.
July 12 -- Passing through Moneta, a Wyoming placename without a place.
July 5 -- Reaching the end of the rail-to-trail section at Shoshoni, the Avatar gets on US 20/26 and starts the long, lonely run towards Casper.
June 28 -- Making his way around a washed-out section of the Wyoming Heritage Trail.
June 27 -- Resting on a bridge over the Wind River on the Wyoming Heritage Trail
The Humanly Prowess -- since August 2009
July 26 -- 4.15 miles around La Junta, Colorado, on my 24th consecutive Saturday. That's a lot of Saturdays!
July 25 -- 4.27 establishes a running record for the state of Texas.
July 21 -- 4.07 is a formal, and maybe an actual, record for the state of Kansas.
July 19 -- 4.6 miles establishes the record for the state of Nebraska, on my 23rd consecutive Saturday run.
July 11 -- I've gone on short runs for each of the last four Fridays. That's the most Fridays in a row I've ever run!
July 10 -- 4.61 miles is, embarassingly, a best Thursday for 2014.
Our Mission Statement
As the internet's preeminent site for interactive, democratic art appreciation, Infinite Art Tournament frees great art from the straitjackets of chronology and categorical conventions in order to put it in a new straitjacket of its own devising. The IAT further seeks to delight its community of creative, bracingly intelligent, and drop-dead sexy readers with glib but cheerful dispatches from the worlds of literature, film, the visual arts, music, chemistry, Shakespeare, postal ephemera, vexillology, and hagiography. College football rarely comes up.
