Hmmm, I like Lewis, but I figure the Limbourg Brothers are in the tournament representing the marvels of the illuminated manuscript. Plus, in the feasting panel? The way those columns support a gold entablature, and then there's landscape, knights, and sky, and then another gold ceiling? and a red and blue panel connecting them all, and the celestial arch above? That just makes my heart sing.

Wow it's tied, and I am finally catching up and maybe can break this tie? Well, we looked and almost picked Lewis, but looking more I rather like the illuminated stuff, especially the celestrial top stuff in the second one. I'm not a giant fan of illustrated book stuff—although seeing some in person up close was cool—the computer screen doesn't do them justice—although but these Limbourg guys' stuff is quite nice. Limbourg bros!

I'll take as many Limbourgs as my vote buys.

It's the Limbourgs -- then Lewis -- the Limbourgs -- Lewis -- and it THE LIMBOURGS BY A TWO-VOTE SWING, 7-5!!! Let's see how they do against Leonardo da Vinci!
