The Infinite Art Tournament, Left Bracket Third Round: Pisanello v. Picasso!

Time for another newish-vs-old contest in the Left Bracket Third Round, not unlike last Thursday's deal. Of the four artists in these two matches, only one will fight through to the Left Bracket Fourth!

Pisanello

Italian
  • Beat twentieth century Brit John Piper by a two-vote swing in Round 1. YOUR VOTE COUNTS!!!
  • Lost to Camille Pissarro in Round 2.
  • Made it past Antonio del Pollaiolo in the Left Bracket Second Round by a safe margin.
  • Beat John Piper again, this time only by a single vote, in a Grudge Match YOUR VOTE COUNTS!!!

Pablo Picasso
1881 - 1973
Spanish
  • Beat Piero della Francesca easily in Round 1.
  • Beat Piero di Cosimo in Round 2.
  • Upset by Joachim Patenier in the Round 3 by a single vote. YOUR VOTE COUNTS!!!

Vote for the artist of your choice in the comments, or any other way that works for you. Commentary and links to additional work are welcome. Polls open for at least one month past posting, but likely much longer.

The second Pisanello is pretty good, but Picasso gets the vote for his astounding versatility.

Picasso takes the win, with seven votes against three! He improves to 3-1, while Pisanello takes his bow with a record of 3-2. Picasso will need to win through in Third Round Elimination in order to beat Pisanello's final record.
