Lawrence's work suggests, to me, that problematic view that the purpose of art is the depiction of pompous rich people. It's a common problem for his time and place viewed from my time and place, but there you have it. Leger...well, I don't LOVE his work, but it's impossible not to like it. This morning it all looks like it belongs in the Northwest Animation Festival--a cartoonish industrial optimism that would crank into motion at the drop of a hat. That gets my vote.

Léger for sure (see Mrs.5000, above)

I like the way Lawrence is subtly undermining the upper-class aesthetics by making everything slightly creepy, so I'm voting for him.

(What, that's not what he's trying to do? My vote stands nevertheless.)

It was, rather emphatically, NOT a tie this time, as Léger walloped Lawrence, 9-1. Thanks for your votes!
