Here Comes the Monday Quiz

Get it while it's hot! The inaugeral Monday Quiz covers:

Beatles Songs

Like its big brother, the Thursday Quiz, the Monday Quiz is an is-it-or-isn't-it sorta dealie. Knock yourself out.
1. "Everybody Wants My Life"
2. "I Want to Tell You"
3. "The Love is the Love"
4. "Only a Northern Song"
5. "Rain"

We'll do the football weekend roundup later. Like, when I find the strength to go on.

Okay, here are my guesses, even though this is a post tailored SPECIFICALLY TO BLYTHE, which is unfair of you. Especially since she references Revolver in her most recent post! Are you sucking up? Is this for the Blog of Love thing? Harumph. Well, I know Beatles songs, too.

I'm going to say that 2, 4, and 5 are, but that the others are CLEVERLY WORDED TRICKS, you tricky trickster, you.

I guess 1, 3, and 4. But I can't catch a break. Growing up my sister had the two (four?) album set where the actual records were blue & red and I listened to them *constantly* but still don't recognize any of these song titles.

PS - I watched the Ducks game. You have my condolences.

Yes to 2, 4, and 5. 5 is your favorite Beatles song, 2's on Revolver, and 4 is a rather obscure one on Yellow Submarine, if I haven't lost touch with my retro-leaning adolescence.

I think the response of Mrs."I think Johnis the cutest!!!"5000 ought to silence any scuttlebutt that this quiz is in any way Blythe-centric. People who like the Beatles are not exactly a rare commodity. Besides, I got booted from the Blog of Love long before I had the chance to deliver up any favors.

I'm going with the Mrs. She sounds like she knows. It is so sad that I cannot name songs that I love. But I can hum a few notes. . . which might be sadder still.

I can hum none of those. I'm out.

Um, can we look things up? It doesn't specify otherwise.

I've never heard of any of those songs. So... no? For all of them?

I thought Mondays were supposed to be easier.

I'm guessing none of them are Beatles songs. Is this a trick?

Two, Four, and Five are actual Beatles songs. "Rain," as Mrs.5000 accurately states, is my favorite Beatles song. "Everybody Wants My Life" and "The Love is the Love," as g accurately states, are cleverly worded tricks. I'm tricky, but not as tricky as Karin thought I might be. MyDog, I'm sympathetic. I wouldn't have done great on this one myself, but enough people are very knowledgeable about the moptop Liverpudlians that having selected the theme, I had to give it a little muscle. I'll keep trying.

@MyDog: Oh yeah -- Monday's a free-for-all. You are probably honor-bound to MENTION it if you look something up. (Looking anything up on Thursday will of course send you straight to hell.)
